EXPERIMENTING WITH WAX...

After working with wax as the basis of sculptural reliefs, Wyrick was intrigued with exploring wax as a viable
medium for permanent wall works and she constructed several fiberboards with firm backings to continue her exploration.

Her first waxwork of about 20” x 26” was sold, but no record was made of it. Unfortunately, because wax requires a concentrated amount of time to create, “life,” with her husband’s illness and death in 2015, intervened in its development. She continues to be interested in its potential and may be able one day to continue her experiments.
